OOOHHH! GOOD ONE EMMY WRITERS! Making me wait until after the commercial to find out the winner; just like they do in those reality shows! (I’m being slightly sarcastic). I rooting for Heidi, but I won’t mind if Bergeron wins. I’m surprised he was nominated for Dancing with the Stars; I always like him on America’s Funniest Home Videos. I guess it might be like Scorsese winning for the Departed, not Goodfellas.
And the winner is……………. Jeff Probst for Survivor. Project Runway is getting robbed this year…
Well, I have to go my friends; see you tomorrow!

Why did I laugh when Bergeron dropped Klum? I guess it was just impulsive…
WHOA!!! Why does Cynthia Nixon look so old?
Hooray for House! I never used to watch it, but I started checking it out a few weeks ago, and it’s pretty good. Hooray for Mad Men: it’s a pretty good show.
I just saw the video of Groban’s performance. Kinda funny, especially when he said, “Oh God…” before the Fresh Prince. Plus, I love “Suicide is Painless”, and I’m not too sure why…
PLEASE!!!! God, let Lee Pace win:
Shoot, Alec Baldwin won again… All well. At least it went to a worthy competitor. Yeah, and how come there was no little pause before his name? I figured he win, but come on! Where’s that little bit of tension?
MIC ISSUES!!!!! WOOO HOOOO! Poor Vanessa Williams… How dare that microphone sass her like that???
And kudos to Glen Close. I hear that Damages is a REALLY good show! There’s a dramatic actress club???
UPDATE: Whoa, whoa, whoa… This was Alec Baldwin’s FIRST EMMY?!?!? I got my Golden Globes mixed up with my Emmy’s. Why the freak hasn’t he already won one?!?! Oh, I’m sorry Lee, but Alec should take this one. It’s kinda like how there was competition against Kobe Bryant and Kevin Garnett for MVP. Garnet was really good, but Kobe’s been awesome for ever and it was about time that he got it!

Don Rickles (I think that’s his name) and Kathy Griffin are really funny. See: Why do we even need writers? Just let the people talk!
WHAT!?!?!??! THE AMAZING RACE WON?!?!?!
SSSSSSSSCCCCCCCCRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEAAAAAAMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!
How the frig did that happen?!?!?! Amazing Race wins every year. And finally, the one year they get blown out of the water by Project Runway and Top Chef… THEY STILL WIN!!! UUUGGGHHH! Now I’m just mad…
At least they didn’t really get to make a speech.
UPDATE: Is the cast of High School Musical 3 promoting Sara Lee??? Well, that’s another brand of food I’ll be avoiding. (In case you couldn’t tell, I’m not the biggest Disney fan; and I DESPISE High School Musical)
Filed under: Award Shows much? | Tags: Amazing Race, articulately articulated, Jon Stewart, Project Runway, Stephen Colbert, The Colbert Report, The Daily Show, Top Chef
Don’t you just love Jon and Stephen? Even with the really cheesy award show writing, they still manage to be funny…
Aww, poor director guy. The music’s playing on him.
Aww, poor writer guy!!! They totally cut to commercial on his speech! It reminds me of the Oscar’s where the girl who won with that guy for best song (THEY BEAT DISNEY!!! WOO HOO!!!) couldn’t give a speech, but Jon let her talk after commercial. Plus, the guy said “articulately articulated”. I thought it was one of those speech jokes, but nobody laughed…
PS- I swear: If Project Runway or Top Chef doesn’t win best reality, I will scream!!! Amazing Race wasn’t all that great last season. Top Chef was awesome, and Project Runway was FIERCE!!! (Nobody says fierce anymore, do they?)
Filed under: Award Shows much? | Tags: 60th Emmys, Flight of the Conchords, FotC, Jon Stewart, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, The Daily Show, The West Wing
So, I just turned to the Emmy’s and everyone is saying: “Sock it to me”. Umm… what’s that all about?
I’ve decided that I’m going to blog a few updates throughout the Emmy’s. So brace yourselves… there are going to be a lot of ‘em!!
Yay to Jon Stewart for winning! Yay for Flight of the Conchords for being nominated (I had no idea they were!!!)
And now they’re talking about the West Wing! One of my favorite shows!!! Is there something wrong with the fact that I’m sixteen and I love the West Wing? Also, I’m still pissed at NBC for cancelling Studio 60…

Okay, I’ve been really busy with school so I haven’t found anytime to come on WordPress. Well, here’s a really quick update:
1. I turned 16!
2. I got a Wii! (ps- Mario Kart Wii is insane. I’ll write up an entire post on that sometime this week)
3. There was that whole black hole thing… ehh, I’ll make a post on that too.
HERE’S WHAT I’VE DECIDED: Well, I get out of school early this Friday, so when I get home, I will put up several post to make it up to people.
Again, I’m really sorry. I’ll try to do better…

Well, it’s 11:41 right now. This is the last post I’ll be writing as a fifteen year old. In a few minutes, it will be September 7th, and I’ll be sixteen.
So my fifteen-year-old self, Here’s to you:
A lot of crappy stuff happened, but there were some good times to. And although I never accomplished pretty much anything that I wanted to at this age, it’s okay, because tomorrow (in about 15 minutes), I have another year to get it all done.
To all the memories, and to the many more to come!
~15 year-old Samone…

Well, today was the first day of school again (blarf
), so I’ve decided that I’m going to tell you about my entire day…
I had a really crappy night’s sleep. As a matter a fact, I don’t even think I got any sleep. I think I was just lying in bed with my eyes closed and thinking, because I was dreaming, but there were no pictures, just thoughts in my mind. I got up at about 5 AM because I had to go to the bathroom, and I couldn’t get back to sleep, so I just decided to begin my day.
As I was getting dressed, I seriously said to myself, “I can’t wait for friday.”
So, my mom dropped me off at school. I walked in, said hi to one of the basketball coaches, went to homeroom, dropped off my stuff, and set out to find somebody that I knew. I walked around for about 10 minutes. As I walked around, I had this feeling. I felt like the school was mine, as though I ruled the halls. And I’m only a junior; I can only imagine myself when I become a senior. Finally, I ran into a friend. We chatted for a bit, and then we both went our separate ways back to our homerooms.
Got all of my paperwork and schedules in homeroom. There are a few new kids, but I didn’t talk to them much.
1st Period: I was supposed to have history, but instead, we had the “Welcome Back!” assembly. It wasn’t really anything too special. Here’s a funny tidbit: When one of the principals was talking, he said something that I thought was kinda funny, so I kept repeating it in my head. Then, I completely forgot the last word of the phrase. I spent the rest of his speech trying to remember the word, and at the end of the speech, the principal said, “And I already know that at least 15 of you have forgotten what I said in the past 2 minutes.” I wasn’t the only one who forgot though, because a lot of other people started laughing.
2nd Period: English. I’m not too excited. For one, I don’t know/talk to any of the people in my class. Then, the teacher seems to LOVE group projects and activities. I kinda hate them. Given the choice of working alone or having a partner, I most always select working alone.
3rd Period: Chemistry. I’m in the highest level of chemistry, so I’m kinda nervous about the difficulty. There were a few people from my Bio class last year, so I don’t have to worry about scrambling to find a lab partner. My only problem: one of my friends said that the teacher is really tough. SHE ALREADY GAVE US HOMEWORK!!! And it’s not like the ‘take this home and have your parents sign this’ homework. It’s real ‘read these pages, take notes, and answer these questions’ homework. Crap.
4th Period: I have lunch on 4th period (except for tuesdays; I’m supposed to have an extra period of Chemistry, but since we didn’t have a lab to do, the teacher let us go to lunch). Everyone was standing around for the first 15 minutes looking for people to sit with. Well, as my luck would have it, NONE of my friends were in lunch. I ended up sitting at a table who were friends of my friends. I didn’t talk much. Just kinda sat there and ate. The girl who was sitting next to me talked so fast. At first, I thought she was imitating a valley girl, and then I realized, That’s really how she talks. She was nice though; it could have been a lot worse.
5th Period: (Mondays and Wednesdays I have gym, but today, I had study hall). Study hall was definitely the highlight of my day. It took me forever to find it. The room number was to a room that didn’t exist. Then it turns out that it does exist; it was a certain section of the auditorium… Why don’t they just put AUD of the schedule??? It would save everyone from a lot of confusion. When I got there, I found a few people that I knew, and we just hung out and goofed around. It was great, because I needed a pick-me-up, especially after that REALLY painful lunch.
6th Period: I’m kinda looking forward to Pre-Calc. There are 3 or 4 juniors (everyone else is a senior), but it still seems like a pretty sweet class. The teacher seems pretty cool, so I think I’ll like it.
7th Period: SAT PREP. I really don’t care too much for this class. It’s got a bunch of people in it that I’m not too keen with. It’s not too big of a deal, because I doubt we’ll be doing any group work. My only issue is that in the middle of the class, the teacher handed out an SAT essay prompt and told us we had 25 minutes to complete it. Now you should know, I am a HORRIBLE writer. Once or twice a year to I hand in an excellent essay or research paper, which is mostly due to me having a TON of time preparing for them. When I got the prompt, it took me five minutes to think of a topic sentence. It said no more than 450 words… I got about 70. I don’t even want to know what my grade is.
8th Period: Spanish 3! I was really excited to get to Spanish because it’s one of my favorite classes. I have the same teacher who I had last year (and the teacher is REALLY good), and I LOVE speaking spanish (I got a 100 last year in Spanish, but a 77 in English). Last year in Spanish 2, our class was completely sophomores and juniors (there might have been one or two seniors). I was so excited to be one of the people who advanced to Spanish 3 HONORS! I just felt so smart. But then… When the teacher did a count to see how many people were in each grade, there were only about 7 upperclassmen. EVERYBODY ELSE IS A FRESHMEN, and there’s about 30 people in the class. Major slap on the face of my ego. Either way, it should still be a pretty good class.
The day ended and I left Spanish to go to my bus. Now look: last year, there was barely anyone on the bus. There was about 20 people. Half the people would get off at the first 2 stops, so there’s barely anyone for the rest of the ride. But now, the bus is FLOODED with freshmen (I never thought that I would be one of those upperclassmen who complains about freshmen all the time, but I am!). There was so little space on the bus, that I had to sit NEXT TO SOMEONE. I didn’t sit next to anyone all year last year. What is going on?!?!? Will I never enjoy my bus rides home ever again? I’ll just crank some Kanye on the Pod and chill (my life philosophy).
Well, that was my day. It wasn’t all that bad. Hope your first days weren’t too crappy either.

I decided to log onto WordPress just to see how things were going on. I checked in my spam comments (because I LOVE IT when I get a comment marked as spam but it isn’t really spam). Well, I realize that there’s a pingback, and most of the time, my pingbacks are about me talking about a previous post.
But that wasn’t the case today, my friends!!! Earlier in the week, I made a post talking about how Top Chef should win the best reality show Emmy. (Well, I said that either Project Runway or Top Chef could win). Anyway, this blog called Top Chef Digest POSTED MY SNIPPET ABOUT ToP ChEf!!! And I know that I shouldn’t be wigging out about it, but it’s really cool to be a nobody and still be acknowledge.
So, in an effort to appear in the blog again:
TOP CHEF is awesome. It’s amazing. It’s epic. It’s like cooking on crack. It’s amped. It’s insane. It’s going to be in New York next season, even thought I REALLY want it to be in Philadelphia. It’s got Tom and Padme, who totally rock my world. It’s freakin’ super-fantastic. It’s scrumptuluscent. It’s cool. And it’s all I watch.
Thanks Top Chef Digest!!!
UPDATE: IT TOTALLY WORKED!!!!
