I’m so sorry that I haven’t really been posting anything. It’s the end of the summer and between getting ready for school and trying to find a job, I’ve been too busy to get onto the computer. So, here’s a little update on things that have happened:
1. Remember those blue shoes I bought from the QVC Outlet? Well, I scratched them. You see, I was dancing around and when I jumped off of a footstool my foot hit this picture of Audrey Hepburn that my sister and I got for my mom on Mother’s Day. It took me several hours to even notice the scratch, though. It’s on the side of the shoe and it’s practically impossible to see, so it’s all cool.
2. I was watching Spongebob the other day, and this commercial came on. In the beginning of the commercial, there was a shot of the Aggro-Crag (something you would know about if you watched Nickelodeon in the 90’s). I was so excited and I screamed, “Oh my GOD!!! They’re bringing GUTS back!!!”. I immediately flashed to a fantasy of me being at the top of that podium holding a giant, glow-in-the-dark sculpture/trophy/thing:
I was so happy because I love all of those old-school Nickelodeon game shows (Get the Picture, Figure It Out, Double Dare, Double Dare 2000, and the best one: LEGENDS OF THE HIDDEN TEMPLE!!!). Well, thanks a bunch, new-yet-annoying Nickelodeon. Several seconds after my celebration, I get the title of the show: My Family’s Got GUTS… Wow, now I get to see Grandma Franny hit the actuators. Whoop-dee-doo…
Also, what are they gonna name the mountain this time? They had the Aggro-Crag, Mega-Crag, Super Aggro-Crag. What’s it gonna be this time??? My guess: The Humongo-Crag
3) KanYe West released his new video for ‘Good Morning’… and I love it. It’s got the KanYe Bear, The ‘Back to the Future Delorean’, and crazy colors. Finally, all of those pictures on the Graduation album make sense!!!
TAKE THAT, PIXAR!!!! You’re not the only ones who can make awesome animations!!!
4) I went to WILDWOOD, NJ! It was a lot of fun. My friend and I hung out at Morey’s Piers. We went on water rides all day (too many stairs!!!) The next day, we were completely sore and neither one of us could move.
5) Super Cr3w won America’s Best Dance Crew. Yay… I guess.
(If, you don’t know why I am so unenthusiastic, read my reaction to Fannie Pak getting kicked off.
6) I’m finishing up my last summer reading book. It’s called Lord of Discipline:

People keep asking me if I'm reading a romance novel or something. It looks like one, but trust me- it's not even close to one.
I’m just over half-way through the book. I don’t know if I’m going to finish it by the time school starts. Luckily, it’s a movie, so I can watch that if I don’t finish it on time.
7) 16 years old in about a week in a half. I’m studying for a permit, and I just finished a job application about an hour ago. I’m more excited about driving than anything. I’ve been on vehix.com and cars.com like it’s nobody’s business. And I’ve already picked out my bumper stickers (I like to plan ahead…)
Well, that’s about it. I’ll put up another post if I find something that’s new and post worthy. And again, sorry I haven’t really been on WordPress…
And now for a random picture.
I googled “geruit”. This is what I got:
Apparently, geruit is a pattern of fabric. It’s like… a collaboration between plaid and checker. Hm..

It’s me. I’m currently sleeping over my friend’s house. At first, we were playing Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, but we beat the game. And if you stay past the credits, you get to play a mission on an airplane where you have to find the “VIP”. It’s so much fun; I think that’s where CoD5 is going to begin.
Right now, we’re beginning to play Assassin’s Creed. It’s really complex, but pretty wicked. God, I just love historical fiction.
I know this post is pretty weak, but I guess there isn’t really much to say; but I promise- I’ll have a lot more to talk about tomorrow!

I’m so sorry that I haven’t posted anything in a while. I’ve been busy trying to reset my Macbook back to its old state (and I’ve been really unsuccessful). So, I get to start all over. I’m kind of excited to get some new music for my iPod (iTunes is having a sale on jazz that I am taking COMPLETE advantage of).
By the way, if you were wondering exactly how much it cost to get my laptop repaired, it was $1350 – all done FOR FREE!!!!
Let’s get back to current stuff…
Today, I learned something. I learned that shoes can make you a completely new person.
At about noon, my mom and I went out to the QVC outlet in Paoli. She’s been hunting for this belt buckle ring that she saw on Jewelry TV and saw in a store a few days later (pictured below):
So, we went into the store. She went to go look at the jewelry; I went to look at some shoes. The shoe selection wasn’t too big, but what they lack in quantity, they made up for in quality. I looked around for a bit, and there were some really cute shoes; and that’s when I laid my eyes on these puppies:
White Mountain slip-on flats in blue
I grabbed the first pair I saw. They were a size 9. I was surprised that they fit me, being as I am a size 10. They only problem was that they were a little tight around the top of my foot.
I went back to my mom at the jewelry counter. I told her that I had found something I liked, so she asked me to bring them over. When I went back to the shoe rack, I grabbed a size 9 1/2 instead of the nine. I show them to my mom, and she said, “Well if you like them, they’re on sale, so let’s get them.” As soon as I got into the car I slipped them on. They were a little loose, but it wasn’t too bad.
When I got home, I decided to put the shoes on and walk around a little bit. They felt a little funny since they were a little too big, so I put some toilet tissue in the toe of each shoe to fill them out. I was a pretty regretful that I didn’t get the 9s; and that’s when I went onto the internet.
I went onto QVC’s website to see what other White Mountain shoes they had. I saw the shoes that I had just gotten, so I decided to see the reviews. A lot of people said that they were really cute but it hurt them at THE TOP OF THEIR FEET!
I was so happy that I decided to go half a size bigger. They’re so comfortable and stylish and I can’t take them off! I’ve been dancing around the apartment in them! I’m wearing them right now! It’s incredible that just a simple $20 dollar pair of shoes can boost your confidence, but they do! It’s so surreal, but it’s still pretty awesome.
I can tell that I’m going to be wearing these shoes very often…

I’m on my dad’s computer right now.
I should be looking up colleges, but I’m here to tell you that I won’t be putting up any new posts for a while because… *sniff sniff*… MY LAPTOP IS BROKEN!!!
A few days ago, I was experiencing some computer difficulty as I was putting up my post about the 4 x 100 men’s relay. My laptop was running a lot slower than usual and I kept having to refresh the page and retype everything. I tried to restart it but it wasn’t working so I pulled out my adapter cord and plugged it back in. When I powered it up again, this folder with a question mark kept popping up:
This has happened to me before, about a year ago. I had to put in my install disk and select my hard drive from some list. Well, after several calls to the Apple Care line and having to relocate my installation disks, I have found out that my HARD DRIVE HAS CRASHED!!!
I’m bringing it by the Apple Store tonight so hopefully they can fix it. My only worry is that there are so many things wrong with my computer. Here’s a list:
- Most recently, my hard drive has crashed.
- My webcam NEVER works.
- The CD slot is broken so you have to (seriously) pry it open to get any disks out of the computer.
- The laptop doesn’t register that there is a laptop battery, so I always have to use my charger as an adapter.
- The adapter, which costs $80 to replace, isn’t very sturdy, so I’m constantly replacing them.
I really hope that I don’t have to get a new computer all together. I love my Macbook, and I have to get a new computer, my parents are probably going to get me a PC laptop. I’M TOO USED TO MACS NOW!!!! I can hardly even use the PC laptop I’m using right now.
…And that’s why I won’t be putting new posts any time soon. So… I’ll see you whenever.

OH. MY. GOD!!!! Did you see last night’s 4 x 100 Freestyle Men’s Relay??? It’s been put onto the list of my favorite Olympic moments EVER!!! Here’s what happened:
Well, a few days ago, Alain Bernard, the French swimmer, was quoted saying, “The Americans? We’re going to smash them! That’s why we’re here.” Well, eat your freakin’ words Bernard because you just got told… or for better words- swimmed!!!
The four people swimming for America were (from left to right) Michael Phelps, Garrett Weber-Gale, Cullen Jones, and Jason Lezak
Michael Phelps starts us off. After 100 meters, we’re neck to neck with France, but Eamon Sullivan of Australia leads (and has a World Record 1st leg). Then, Garret Weber-Gale, first time olympic swimmer, jumps in and gets us into the lead! Third to go is Cullen Jones. He loses the lead to French swimmer Frederick Bousquet, but still manages to keep a close 2nd.
THEN, THE SHOW DOWN OF ALL SHOWDOWNS!!!
Alain “American-Smasher” Bernard versus Jason “I Eat Frenchmen For Breakfast” Lezak
Alain keeps the lead over Jason, UNTIL about the last 25 meters, and you start to see Lezak close in on Bernard. It was at this point where the commentators [and I] had accepted that America would get the silver medal. Then, out of no where, in the final seconds of the race, Lezak speeds up and is practically tied with Bernard. I was standing inches away from my television screaming, “Did we get it? Did we get it?!”
WE DID!!! WE WON THE GOLD MEDAL!!! WE TOOK FRANCE’S WORLD RECORD!!!!
It was probably one of the greatest natural highs I have ever had. And did you see Michael Phelps’ face?!?!? PRICELESS!!!! It was as if he had won his first gold medal ever! I’ve never seen so much excitement on one person’s face!! Everyone on the America team is screaming. Phelp’s freaks out! Weber jumps up to him and joins the reveille! Jones walks over and celebrates! Lezak gets out of the water and embraces them all! It’s probably the greatest man hug ever:
There’s a new team in town… and it’s name is Mi-gar-len-son!

I’m sorry that I don’t have a lot of time to write about the opening ceremonies for the 2008 Olympics, but I will say this: Absolutely Breathtaking.
There was so much symbolism, tradition, new technologies, and beautiful choreography. Some of my favorite parts:
1. The 2008 drums that light up in a pattern.
2. The dancers who painted the nature scene with their bodies.
3. The dance where they were acknowledging China’s naval achievements.
4. The REALLY symbolic Tai-Chi dance with the young school children in the center
5. The people dressed in green with the lit-up suits who ran and created the shape of the bird.
There were no markings on the floor at all. EVERYTHING WAS SO PRECISE! A lot of money was spent on that opening ceremony, and they got what they paid for. It was one of the most beautiful things I have ever laid my eyes on. I can only imagine what it would have been like to be there.
Well, the gymnastics are on right now, which is my second favorite olympic sport (my first is track and field), so I’m going to go. I’ll be sure to put up another post later.

Guess what’s on Google today:
IT’S THE OLYMPICS!!!!
I love the Summer Olympics (sorry winter olympics; you’re nice too…)!!!!! I’ll alway’s remember when I was in the 3rd grade, and the two U.S. swimmers tied EXACTLY for first place and each of them got gold medals. In my classroom, Mrs. Valdata (whoa, I remember the teacher’s name?) set up an entire list of all the countries competing and would put gold, silver, or bronze tallies next to the country whenever they won a medal. Then, everyone had to do a report on an athlete, and we presented them and threw a party on the last day of the Olympics (I did a report about Jackie Joyner-Kersee; I also dressed up in a red and blue track suit, so I got ExTrA cReDiT!)
Well, I am oober-excited about the opening ceremonies. And where there are opening ceremonies, their are SUPER AWESOME GREEN-AND-CHRISTMAS-LIGHTED DANCERS!!!!
Do believe that’s really from the Olympics? Well then, click the link!!!!
I just realized something… I’M GOING TO THE MALL TONIGHT! My friends and I have had this tradition since middle school that every friday, we chill at the mall. Everyone has been on vacation though, so we haven’t seen each other in a long time, so I have to go, BUT THE OLYMPICS ARE ON TONIGHT! Thank God for DVR…
I’m really psyched. Let’s go, team U.S. of A.!

Filed under: Thoughts much? | Tags: ABDC, America's Best Dance Crew, bull-sh*t verdicts, Fannie Pak, fanny pack, So Real Cru, Super Cr3w, the 80's
Fannie Pak, my favorite crew on America’s Best Dance Crew was eliminated… and the world also stop spinning.
WHAT THE $%@#^?!?!?!?!?
Okay, I understand that in the beginning, Fannie Pak was not the most popular group, but as time went on, they proved to the world that they were completely AwEsOmE and totally deserved their spot on the show. Tonight, they gave two performances: 1) a compilation of popular 80’s songs and dance moves (including Vanilla Ice’s Ice Ice Baby) and 2) a dance centered around the movie, Flash Dance (the song? “She’s a Maniac). The first dance was sweet, but the second dance was amazing!!!
Out of the three groups, Fannie Pak captured the essence of the movie they were assigned. They collaborated the audition scene with the show itself. It had so much energy and creativity and you could tell that they had actually seen the movie they were assigned.
SoRealCru did the broom scene from Breakin’. The brooms weren’t too great, but the mirrors in their dance was pretty wicked. Then, Super Cr3w did a dance to the song Footloose from the movie… um, Footloose. It was okay, JUST okay. It was near way as good as the other dances they have done, and no way NEAR as good as Fannie Pak.
I love all three crews, but to be honest, I didn’t think that SoRealCru should have gotten into the finale. Their performance last week wasn’t all that hot. I think that they hit their prime in the middle of the season, and they been going a little downhill from there (however, the marching band dance was sweet). I thought it was going to be Fannie Pak and Super (is it Supah??) Cr3w in the finale; but it wasn’t
…
I was thinking about it. I think they allowed Super Cr3w to go on because they are more marketable. Fannie Pak is kinda in a world of its own (a pretty awesome world). They’re kinda hard to translate into the modern marketplace. Super Cr3w, however, is easier to advertise.
When the Jabba Wokees won last year, I didn’t think that anyone could come close to their skill. But Fannie Pak did… with their creativity!!! Not only could they dance, they could PUT ON A SHOW!!!
What really makes me feel bad, is that I got my mom addicted to that show, and she NEVER watches reality tv. Being as she was a part of the 80’s generation, she loved Fannie Pak as soon as she saw them. It’s like… she took a chance on a new genre and it let her down… pity…
Well, here’s to you Fannie Pak:
At least you get another chance to flash the fannies in the finale.
UPDATE: Okay, did a little more thinking about the issue. While I do feel the same way, I have come to another realization. The following is a part of an answer I posted for Yahoo! Answers:
“…ALSO!!! I saw that they did this thing where they were revealing those who got the most votes in the season (I think that’s how So Real Cru got into the finale). Fannie Pak was in the bottom two a lot this season (and [almost] everytime they fought their way back to the top). They probably didn’t have enough cumulative votes for the entire season, which could have led to them being sent home.”
